OCTURNIPUS

Octurnipus is a 2.5D Isometric Side-Scroller where you play as an Octopus-Turnip hybrid in pursuit of a herd of rabbits who were terrorizing the Octurnipus’ residence. Use your turnip root tentacles to defeat rabbits one by one as you slowly bring them closer to their inevitable fate of death!

This was our submission for the Global Game Jam Vancouver 2023 with the theme 'Roots'. 

We followed the trail of vegetables to turnips, and connected roots to the tentacles of an Octopus - thus giving birth to the OCTURNIPUS. We also wanted to add a triple tentacle attack and make enemy AI more interesting, as well as have a proper ending, but that'll be something we might revisit in the future!
